About me

The Starting Point: My Purpose

I have spent over two decades working in the healthcare and medical technology (MedTech) industry. Throughout this journey, I have navigated diverse transitions: from selling operating room consumables in my early days to managing capital equipment, clinical connectivity solutions, and complex strategic accounts.

I have had the opportunity to lead commercial organizations across multinational companies such as Baxter, Medtronic, Covidien, and Mölnlycke, taking on full P&L accountability, redesigning Go-To-Market models, shaping pricing and margin governance, securing high-stakes competitive tenders, and optimizing both direct sales forces and distributor networks.

Yet, if this sector has taught me anything, it is that technology and numbers only truly matter if they ultimately improve patients’ lives and empower healthcare professionals.

My Approach to Leadership

I do not view leadership as a matter of hierarchy or spotlight, but as an act of service and collective building.

  • Building autonomous, high-judgment teams: My greatest satisfaction does not come from making myself indispensable, but from fostering dynamics where the team possesses the autonomy, context clarity, and confidence needed to make sound decisions independently.
  • Pragmatism over corporate inertia: Countering the common refrain of “this needs to come from the top,” I believe in the culture of “What do you propose?”. Meaningful change within organizations usually begins with whoever steps forward to move the first stone.
  • Rigor and continuous learning: Driven by relentless curiosity, I earned my degree in Biology (specializing in Cellular and Molecular Biology)—the foundation of my appreciation for the scientific method. Later, I completed an Executive MBA at IE Business School, alongside executive programs in management and corporate governance at IESE and San Telmo Business School. I firmly believe in financial discipline and ethical governance as the cornerstones of sustainable growth.

What You Will Find Here

I created this space with a simple purpose: to have a dedicated home to organize and preserve reflections I often share across networks, but which deserve a more thoughtful reading.

I write across three core pillars:

  1. HealthTech & the Future of Healthcare: Artificial intelligence in medicine, therapeutic adherence, healthcare systems, and the tangible impact of innovation on patients.
  2. Leadership & Organizations: People management, team culture, corporate dynamics, and real-world lessons from the field.
  3. Curiosidad & Reading Notes: Insights on negotiation, productivity, history, and humanism that help me think better.
