Remote Monitoring Support Center

The AGING POPULATION 👴🏼and the increase in CHRONIC DISEASES pose a well-known and significant CHALLENGE for the healthcare system 🎯

Spinal cord epidural neurostimulation implant has been used as a treatment for refractory chronic pain🌩️ 

A set of SERVICES has been designed in Hospital Universitario Virgen de las Nieves (Granada, Spain), including a MOBILE APPLICATION 📲 for patients and a WEBSITE 🖥️ for healthcare professionals, as well as a Remote Monitoring Support Center (CSSR) 📞

Patients with a neurostimulator are EVALUATED and REGISTERED periodically, measuring program ADHERENCE, the number of patients who receive a definitive implant,…, among other factors 📀

📅 From January 2021 to April 2022, 50 patients have been included in the program, and the results show not only high program adherence but a positive PATIENT EXPERIENCE EVALUATION 👍🏻

🔺Areas for improvement have been identified, such as the lack of interconnectivity with intrahospital information systems.

❤️ ENHANCING PATIENT-CENTERED MEDICINE is key to improving HEALTH OUTCOMES and the EFFICIENCY of the care process for patients with a neurostimulator ‼️
