Florins per week

✍️Think you’re paid what you’re worth⁉ ✍️

🧐TWO FLORINS A WEEK… OR SIX 💵💵

Moses was a young man who worked in a grain store and earned two florins a week. Another clerk at the same warehouse, who was also named Moses, was earning six florins a week. The first Moises had been working there for a long time, but the salary was still the same: two florins a week. The fact that he received two florins while his colleague received six began to annoy him more than normal. Finally one day he complained to his boss:
– 🤬 Why I earn only two florins a week whereas the other Moses earns six florins?
– 🙄Have a little patience, I will answer your question soon, replied the boss.

A few days later, eight or ten chariots with farmers who were bringing their corn crops to sell passed by the door of the warehouse. Then the chief calls the two florins Moses and orders him:

– Come on, find out what those farmers are carrying.
The two florins Moses leaves and returns in a short time:
– They carry corn 🌽, he says.
– Go back and ask them where they are taking it, orders the boss.

Moses leaves. This time he has to run because in the meantime the cars have occupied a long part of the road. He returns to the warehouse and explains:
– They carry the corn to Stanislaw.
– So, run and ask them who they are taking it to.

This time poor Moses has to give himself a real run to catch up with the chariots and come back with his information. 😮‍💨When he appears panting in the warehouse he says:
– The corn they carry is for Jayim Watenberg.
– So, run and find out what price they ask for the corn.

Moses has to take the horse 🐎 and gallop behind the chariots. After a while he comes back with the information:
– They ask for six florins per quintal.
– Now stay here, says the boss.

He sends the six florins Moses 🤑 to come and orders him:
– Go and see what those cars are that have passed by here a while ago.
The 🔝 six florins Moses gets on his horse and runs after the chariots, without waiting for further explanations
In half an hour he is back and says:
– 🗯These people carry corn to Stanislaw for Jayim Watenberg. He has offered them six florins per quintal. I have offered them six florins and ten crusaders and they are coming here to unload the merchandise at our warehouse 😎.

The chief turns to the two florins Moses of and says:
– 🤔 Now, do you see why one Moses earns two florins a week and the other one six?
